19 year old striker Steven Boyd has joined Albion Rovers on a Development Transfer until 3rd January. Rovers had been monitoring the player’s progress and saw him at first hand in Tuesday’s Irn Bru Cup tie which they won 2-0.
Player / Manager Martin Canning feels the player will greatly benefit from games in League 1 and come back a better player, just as Eamonn Brophy did after his loan spell at Dumbarton in the early part of last season.
