Local junior side Blantyre Vics suffered a fire at their ground at the weekend, destroying much of the pavillion and changing room area. Their Scottish Junior Cup tie at home to Bo’ness Utd this Saturday has accordingly been postponed to the following week and the club were asked to locate a venue within 10 miles of Blantyre.
The Accies stadium team read of the club’s plight and immediately offered the use of The SuperSeal Stadium to host this important Scottish Junior Cup tie. As a gesture of goodwill and in view of Blantyre’s current plight, Accies have donated the use of the ground to Blantyre Vics on this occasion.
The game has been agreed by the Scottish Junior FA and accordingly will take place as follows:-
