Our development squad had a comfortable 3-1 win over St Mirren at NDP on Tuesday evening.
Missing the suspended Shaun Want and Lewis Ferguson, and the injured Steffen Connelly and Alex Marshall, but including new recruit Ionnis Skondras, we took the elad with a Ronan Hughes shot in the 8th minute after Skondras had an initial effort blocked. O’Keefe levelled for Saints with a 25 yarder in the 25th minute.
Ryan Tierney made it 2-1 five minutes into the second half finishing off after a Breslin pass, then Tierney netted his second of the game from the penalty spot in the 87th minute. Lewis Smith was puled down just in the act of shooting and Tierney dispatched the spot kick beyond Henry.
Accies – Jamieson, Skondras (O’Halloran 45), Quitongo, Watson, Breslin, Hughes (c), Cunningam (Smith 69), McKirdy, Tierney, S Boyd, Kelly (J Boyd 81). Unused subs – R Connelly, Douglas, Wilson, Henry
