Hamilton Academical Football Club acknowledges the outcome of this afternoon’s independent SPFL disciplinary tribunal hearing in relation to the late payment of players and staff wages in December 2025.
Prior to the completion of the takeover by Morley Sports Management, players and staff were not paid for the month of December. The matter was self-reported to both the Scottish FA and the SPFL at the time, and following today’s hearing, the club has been issued with a six-point deduction with immediate effect.
While this is clearly disappointing for everyone connected with the club, particularly given the positive momentum built since the turn of the year, our focus remains firmly on the pitch. The response from the players and staff in recent weeks has been outstanding, and their professionalism throughout this period deserves recognition.
With continued unity and backing from our supporters, we are confident we can finish the season strongly.
We ask our fans to maintain the excellent support shown over the past three matches and to get right behind Darian and the players once again on Saturday evening.
