A very young Accies squad lost 2-0 away to Dundee on Tuesday night (9th Feb) in the Development League. Ryan Gemmell in the 23rd minute, from close range, and a direct free kick from Kerr Waddell in the 80th minute were the goals in what was overall a pretty poor game.
It had begun at a good pace for both teams, but overall chances in the game were few and far between. Debutant between the sticks Alex Marshall had hardly a save to make. A debut was also given to Lewis Ferguson, 16, son of ex Accie (and ex Dundee) Derek, while new recruit Oumar Diaby was also given a run out.
Accies – Marshall, Reilly, Quitongo, Want (c), Canning, Ferguson (S Connelly 45), Cunningham, hughes, Diaby (Kelly 82), Mandiangu, Brophy (Tierney 73). Unused subs – C Granger, O’ Halloran, Smith, McCracken. Referee – Scott Leslie. Att: 41
Next week we host Ross County, 2pm at NDP on Tuesday 16th February. The week after we are away to Aberdeen, Tuesday 23rd February, 2pm at Glebe Park, Brechin.
