On May 7th 2018, the 2nd Cruyff Court in Scotland will be opened at Hamilton Academical Football Club.
This has been realised by the Johan Cruyff Foundation in partnership with HAFC and The Hamilton Academical Community Trust SC038553, the charitable arm of the club, and is a perfect match with the Cruyff Foundation which gets young people active so they can play together and grow in their environment.
The Cruyff Court is located with The Childrens Escape and Serenity Gardens, a community space within the grounds of the stadium that includes a man made beach, crazy golf, a sensory shack and many fun activities for all the community to use. The Cruyff Court is open for all the children in the community and will complement the work of Hamilton Accies Community Outreach working with those who have many life and social challenges.
The Cruyff Court will play a very important part for children and young people in the area. The FREE to access Court will be available at all times for young people to take part in sports sessions and fun activities allowing them to have fun and to escape the challenges they face in everyday life. We would like to invite you to celebrate the opening with us.
The opening will include a variety of activities for all the community to participate in including our “LARGEST EVER HAMILTON FLOSS” which will take place on the Cruyff Court.
The stadium will open their gates at 11am and the community will be invited to join in with all the groups and charities that operate from the stadium including the footballers…………. Activities such as Zorb Balls, Yoga, Beat the Goalie, Music, Drama and of course The Official opening of the Cruyff Court Alex Neil which will take place at 1pm.
We are also looking to do “THE LARGEST HAMILTON FLOSS” on the Cruyff Court just before the official opening and would ask that you get as many of your team, workers, volunteers, groups, friends etc to become involved in this and make it special.
